Alerts help identify anomalous situations or policy exceptions during the compensation planning process. When enabled, alerts are evaluated in real time against employee and manager activity and are visible to impacted managers, their leaders, and HR administrators.
Alerts are configured under Configuration → Alerts and are optional. Each alert can be activated or deactivated independently. The text for each alert can be customized by changing the wording in the text box.
How Alerts Appear on My Org and My Team
When alerts are triggered, they are surfaced directly within the My Org and My Team views to provide immediate visibility during planning.
A yellow alert icon appears next to the applicable employee(s) in the grid.
The icon is visible to HR administrators, the employee’s manager, anyone reviewing the manager’s worksheet, and all leaders above the manager in the reporting hierarchy.
The icon only displays for employees who have one or more active alerts triggered.
Clicking the yellow alert icon opens a Triggered Employee Alerts modal.
The modal lists each alert that was triggered for that employee (for example, Zero percent merit increase).
Alerts are informational indicators and do not prevent managers from entering or saving changes.
This ensures that potential issues or outliers are clearly visible to all relevant stakeholders during the review and approval process.
