The Equity Grant Types page is used to define and manage the equity grant programs that are available during the cycle. This page will only display the grant types that have been imported into SimplyMerit—no default or unused grant types are shown.
Each grant type represents a distinct equity program (for example, Company Stock or Restricted Stock Awards) and includes the following fields:
Name – The label for the equity grant type as it will appear throughout the application.
Unit Price – The value per share or unit used for calculating total equity value.
Currency Code – The currency associated with the grant (must align with configured currencies).
Pool – The total number of shares or units available for allocation under this grant type.
Date – The grant date associated with the equity award.
Allocation and Approval Indicators – Visual progress bars showing how much of the pool has been allocated and approved.
Key behavior to note:
Grant types are created automatically based on the equity data you import.
Only imported grant types will appear on this page and be available to managers.
Allocation and approval tracking updates dynamically as managers enter and submit equity awards.
Changes to unit price, currency, or pool size directly impact equity calculations across the application.
This configuration ensures equity planning remains tightly aligned to the specific grant programs defined in your imported data.
