The Active Features section allows administrators to control how Salary, Bonus, and Equity data is displayed, calculated, and interacted with across the My Org and My Team views. These settings determine which columns managers see, how values are calculated for display, and what actions are available during the compensation cycle.
Changes made in Active Features affect visibility, labels, and calculations, but do not modify underlying imported data.
Accessing Active Features
Navigate to:
Configuration → Active Features
The page is organized into four tabs:
General
Merit
Bonus
Equity
General Tab
Final Approval
Controls whether a formal approval step is required before compensation is finalized.
When enabled:
One or two approvers can be designated.
Approvers receive a Final Approval button.

Once clicked, a Final Approval export becomes available with:
All compensation data fields
Date and time of approval
Approval status is tracked per approver.
This is commonly used for executive or HR sign-off.
Cycle Display Names
Controls the labels used for compensation cycles throughout the application.
Configurable fields:
Salary Cycle Display Name
Bonus Cycle Display Name
Equity Cycle Display Name
These labels appear in My Org and My Team views and are cosmetic only.
Faster Budget Processing
Improves performance for larger organizations.
Budget rollups are calculated asynchronously.
Saves are faster for managers.
Budget totals may briefly appear out of date immediately after edits.
Merit Tab
Current Salary Column
Allows you to show/hide the Current Salary column, or rename it.
Merit Columns
Controls whether merit-related columns appear in allocation tables.
Options include:

Promotion Columns
Controls promotion-related adjustments.
Options include:

Supports promotions that involve a title change without a numerical increase.
Other Columns
Controls additional adjustment columns. Many customers will use the “Other” fields to separate out Market Adjustments from Merit Adjustments, in which case they will rename these fields to “Market Percent” and “Market Amount.”
Show Other Columns
Other Group Name
Includes Other Percent and Other Amount fields.
Lump Sum Column
Controls display of lump sum awards.
Show Lump Sum Amount Column
Lump Sum Column Name
Lump sums can optionally be included in Total Comp calculations.
Total Compensation Column
Controls visibility and calculation logic for Total Compensation.

Controls how performance ratings are displayed.

Prevents managers from editing ratings in My Team.
Salary Comparison Metric
Defines how salary positioning is calculated.

This selection affects comparison visuals and calculations.
Salary Display Fields
Controls which informational fields appear between Current Salary and Performance Rating. This is where you can choose to add additional fields from our built in data set or your created custom fields.

Controls which employee fields managers can export to Excel.

Controls whether managers can add discretionary bonuses.
Enables the Add Discretionary Bonus button in My Team – Bonus.
Bonus Display Fields
Controls additional informational fields shown in My Team – Bonus. This is similar to Salary Display Fields, but for the bonus tab.
