The Personal Information section allows HR Administrators to manage their own user details within SimplyMerit, including updating their name, email address, and password. Changes made here apply only to the currently logged-in user.
Accessing Personal Information
Navigate to:
Configuration → Personal Information

Your Information
The Your Information section displays and allows edits to your basic user details.
Available fields include:
First Name
Last Name
Email address
Updating Your Information
Update the desired fields.
Click Save Changes.
Important notes:
Changes apply immediately after saving.
Updating your email address changes the login email associated with your account.
If your email address is changed, you will need to use the new email address the next time you log in.

Your Password
The Your Password section allows you to change your login password.
To change your password, you must provide:
Current Password
New Password
Password Confirmation
Click Save Changes once all fields are completed.

Password Requirements
Passwords must meet the following criteria:
Minimum of 8 characters

Must contain at least three of the following four character types:
Uppercase letter
Lowercase letter
Numeric character
Special character
Allowed special characters include:
!"#$%&'()*+,-./:;<=>?@[\]^_`{|}~Additional restrictions:
Passwords may not contain more than three repeating or sequential characters
Passwords may not contain personal identifiers or usernames
Passwords may not match any of the four previously used passwords
Do not include personal identifying information in your password
Important Notes and Best Practices
Password changes take effect immediately.
If you forget your password, use the Forgot Password option on the login page.
For security reasons, password changes cannot be performed by another user on your behalf.
Single Sign-On (SSO) users: If your organization uses SSO, password management may be handled by your identity provider instead of SimplyMerit. Before importing or updating employee email addresses, confirm with your IT team that the email addresses in your import file exactly match the email addresses used for SSO authentication, as the SimplyMerit email and SSO email must be the same for users to log in successfully.
