This guide explains how managers can enter and track bonus recommendations for their direct reports using the My Team | Bonus tab in SimplyMerit.
Accessing the Bonus Tab on My Team
Bonus recommendations for direct reports can be made on the My Team | Bonus tab.
This tab displays the bonus-related fields available to managers based on how the bonus programs are configured.

Understanding the Total Bonus Allocated Summary
The Total Bonus Allocated figure shows:
The manager’s total bonus budget on the right side
The actual spend on the left side
The actual spend updates live as recommendations are entered in the following columns:
Performance Factor
Bonus Earned
Entering Bonus Values
Entering a value in one field will automatically update the other:
Entering a percentage in the Performance Factor column will calculate the Bonus Earned
Adjusting the Bonus Earned value will automatically update the Performance Factor
Depending on how bonus programs are configured, some plans may include only a Bonus Earned field or only a Performance Factor field.

Saving or Submitting Bonus Recommendations
After entering bonus recommendations, managers can:
SimplyMerit auto-saves any input, so no Save button is required
Select SUBMIT to notify your manager that your team’s recommendations are ready for review
When submitted, SimplyMerit will notify the approving manager via email.
