This guide explains how managers can use Budget Summaries to track actual spend versus allocated budget for their span of control and direct reports.
Where to Find Budget Summaries
Budget Summaries are available on a manager’s My Org tab.
They provide visibility into compensation spend for:
Your overall span of control
Your direct reports
Any direct reports who also serve as managers

Understanding Budget Summary Totals
Budget Summaries display both:
Actual spend
Total allocated budget
These values allow managers to monitor how recommendations are tracking against approved budget limits throughout the compensation cycle.
Viewing Detailed Spend Information
The actual spend (top) can be tracked against the total allocated budget (bottom) by hovering over the roll-up boxes.
Hovering over these boxes provides additional detail at any time without navigating away from the page.

Using Budget Summaries During the Compensation Process
Budget Summaries update dynamically as recommendations are entered and adjusted.
They help managers:
Stay within allocated budget guidelines
Identify over- or under-spend early
Monitor downstream budget impact across teams
What to Expect Next
After reviewing budget information, managers can proceed to entering compensation recommendations for their team.
